Why is the enter/return button used to rename a file? Do Mac users really rename files more often than open them? And when a warning pops up with a blue highlight around the button why does the enter button not execute the choice? I guess keyboards are a bit too much for the Apple community sad as the keyboard is far far faster than a mouse. Another reason Macs are Wac. Please feel free to comment below.
Sunsets never seem to get old and today was no exception. This was near the skagit river along Francis Road in Mount Vernon. We just had our baby girl Remy, so these are the first photos I have taken in a while.
Today we got out to finally enjoy some of our long awaited weather here is Western Washington. My wife and I climbed around the rocks at Larabee State Park on Chuckanut drive. Then Headed up Little Mountain in Mount Vernon for a picnic Lunch and plenty of dappled light in the woods a great way to avoid the heat.
Here we are once again and the Tulips are back out. Not too many fields this year. I got these first ones of some nice red and purples fields next to each other.
Here is another one of my Chemo Critters from 2007 that I have gone back to. I cleaned off the background of purple paper and added some paintings of photos I took from my Fir Island collection. I hope you have more joy than he has. I have been on an orange color theme lately don’t know why it is what it is.
Here are some photos from the Historical Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley. I have always wanted to go here and now so much of it is off limits to the public. The only parts your allowed to visit is the farm land surrounding the hospital which was in operation from 1909 to 1973. The county owns the farmland and has made it into a park for all to enjoy. The state still owns the hospital part and as of right now its for sale and is currently occupied by Job Corps and some other non profits. Its amazing how much stuff is still just laying around the grounds, old machinery, doors, tables, hinges, wires, sinks, food carts, all worn and rusty buy you can still envision the people working there.
He is happy, that is all.
Today I revisited another of my Chemo Critters, this time is my blue beaked flamingo “Pinky”. Above you can see the original pencil sketch from my sketch pad, I did this during an intense chemo therapy session. You can see the progression from sketch to colored pencil on blue paper to the final digital coloring. The cattails in the background are from a photo I took on Fir Island. I always make an attempt to use only my own materials and content to produce these. I hope you enjoy.
I sketched this image of a giraffe years ago and I continue to bring him back up and make new versions of him. The upper left is the original sketch. The lower right is a digital version of the sketch with a little hill I did in Adobe Illustrator. The one in the upper right is where I took the original sketch and printed it onto textured orange paper and colored him using prisma colored pencils, I have this one framed and hanging in my house. Then I photographed the colored pencil version and brought it back into the computer, removed the background and digitally painted a new background, I call this one “Giraffe in the moon light”. Hope you enjoy him too.
I do love Chrysanthemums and this one is a really nice maroon and yellow variety. We bought it for Thanksgiving. I just stuck it in the front window and snapped a couple of shots this morning.
